Chia seed was an Aztec food and is one of the richest whole-food sources of omega-3 fatty acids as well as a concentrated source of protein. The omega-3 protein found in chia seed oil aids in smoothing the appearance of wrinkles by helping to repair and maintain skin cells. Organic soy bean oil is also used in the balm to produce a favorable texture and supply omega-3 fatty acids to the skin. Pure, organic soybean oil is extracted from beans and is a rice source of omega-3 fatty acids and lecithin, which helps to cleanse and condition the skin.
