Sure the organic food industry has been still for the last few years; but, according to CosmeticDesign.com, TABS, a market research group, said skin care and hair care were the only two categories to experience steady gains in 2010.

The percentage of consumers purchasing organic personal care and cosmetics had remained rather low, but over the past few years, TABS reported contrasting numbers with the food categories, noting skin care sales increased 0.7 percent from December 2009 to January 2011.

Between the organic food and personal care/cosmetic industries, organic purchasing has remained consistent, which is good news in lieu of the recession.
