NEW YORK—Molton Brown introduced its Navigations Through Scent Collection, five varied and distinct artisanal fragrances for both men and women. The Navigations Through Scent Collection delves into the heritage of perfume, tracing its influences back to the ancient spice route, where rarity and the high value of the ingredients made trading along this trail both exhilarating and perilous. Following key focal points along the route, the journey starts in the Ancient World, the birthplace of fragrance –Egypt, China and Indonesia, then over to England for trade, before entering the New World in Canada. These premium fragrances contain sophisticated balanced blends of rare ingredients, individually containing a lead ingredient from each country, bringing this historic tale to the modern day.

Molton Brown’s Navigations Through Scent Collection includes:

  • Iunu: The jasmine in this floriental-spicy fragrance originates from Egypt and is carefully handpicked to avoid bruising the petals. It is from these petals that the jasmine oil, which has a sweet, exotic, floral scent, is extracted.
  • Lijiang: Osmanthus absolute is a rare flower native to China and prized for its fruity-floral aroma. The oil from these flowers is the lead ingredient in this fragrance creating the floral-musky notes that are detectable.
  • Singosari: The patchouli oil lead ingredient present in the base note governs this spicy-woody fragrance. The patchouli leaf possesses a rich, woody, earthy aroma with a slight fruity note. The viscous, orangey-amber oil is extracted from the leaves of the two to three foot perennial bush.
  • Apuldre: The lead ingredient of this green-aromatic fragrance is the juniper berry, which contains a crisp, highly valuable oil that provides the fizzy top note.
  • Rogart: This woody-fresh fragrance is a result of the fir balsam lead ingredient. The bark of a North American fir, native to Canada, it is cut and exudes a resin that dries once in contact with air. From this, the resin provides up to 30-percent of essence with woody, fruity, sweet and pine notes.

All fragrances are available a 50 mL bottles.
