EFSA Denies Vitamin E Skin, Hair, Nails Claims

NutraIngredients.com recently reported on The European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) opinion on the link between dietary intake of  vitamin E and its claims to help skin health, as well as hair and nails. According to NutraIngredients.com, EFSA the said evidence supporting vitamin E and its stake on maintaining normal hair, skin and nails is not sufficient.

This morose opinion doesn’t help out companies in the nutricosmetic industry that are using vitamin E health claims. EFSA said the data on vitamin E “did not establish a ‘cause and effect relationship,’" according to NutraIngredients.com.
