An eight-week clinical study demonstrated Priori® Skincare products with Idebenone Complex— known for its ROS quenching capabilities—when used in conjunction with each other, have a significant capability to improve the skin of subjects with moderate to severe photodamage, according to an unpublished study conducted by Michael H. Gold M.D., at the Tennessee Clinical Research Center.
The study evaluated 32 women between 25 and 65 years of age exhibiting moderate to severe photodamage presented as rough dry facial skin, pigmentation, fine lines/wrinkles, poor skin tonality, decreased skin firmness, radiance and brightness. Subjects used PRIORI® Idebenone Complex Facial Cleanser, Even Tones, Eye Serum and Moisturizing Facial Cream, twice a day, for the study duration of eight weeks. PRIORI Radical Defense SPF 30 Sunscreen was also included in the regime for daytime use only. Expert grading for the parameters noted above, in addition to global improvement, was performed at baseline and eight weeks along with standard digital and photography using Canfield’s Visia system.
After eight weeks of product use, dermatological evaluations revealed a 36-percent increase in skin smoothness, pigmentation and fine lines/wrinkles; a 41-percent increase in skin firmness and skin tonality; a 42-percent increase in skin brightness and increase in global improvement; and a 44-percent increase in skin radiance.
