TARRYTOWN, Ny.—Ampacet introduced OrganiSilk™ Colors and UltraChrome, an extension to the FormulaX LiquidMetals Colors™ line, for cosmetic technology. OrganiSilk Colors were designed to mirror colors found in nature. Included are Aqua Pure, Mango Mist, Organic Orchid, Rejuvenating Rain, Fresh Fern and New Sprout. Ampacet offers a broad range of custom color, special effect, black, white and specialty additive masterbatches for molding and a multitude of other processes and applications.
The UltraChrome range creates a mirror-like effect for molded plastic components that tease traditional boundaries between polished aluminum, chrome and plastic materials. The premium reflective masterbatch offers a substantially lower cost alternative to vacuum metalizing and painting. A significant reduction in production-to-market cycle time and cost can be realized since there is no need to outsource finishing, or transport products to an off-sight facility for secondary processing. The single-step molding process eliminates the Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) and carbon emissions that occur in secondary painting operations.
