ELMSFORD, N.Y.—Leading Edge Innovations (LEI) and San-Mar Laboratories (SML) announced a strategic partnership, making LEI’s technology a part of S.M.A.R.T. (San-Mar’s Advanced Research and Technology) .This partnership brings new possibilities to both San-Mar and LEI’s clients. LEI’s proprietary manufacturing process and formulating expertise, in combination with San-Mar’s current technologies, ingredients, equipment and manufacturing capabilities will join together to offer new products to the cosmetic and personal care markets.
In other news, San-Mar Laboratories named Julio Lamberty as its vice president of R&D and technical services. Julio brings 22 years experience in various disciplines of R&D, including over-the-counter (OTC) drug formulations, skin care, personal care, hair care and fragrance. He also brings extensive experience in lab management, quality control and manufacturing. His responsibilities at San-Mar Laboratories include leading R&D, as well as coordinating all lab, production and manufacturing functions. Julio will also lead S.M.A.R.T. , San-Mar’s Advanced Research & Technology Program designed to provide clinically proven technology solutions for skin care, body care, anti-aging and other health and beauty performance categories .Julio’s prior experience includes Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, C.O. Bigelow, Avon, Symrise, Peter Thomas Roth and International Specialty Products.
