Mintel, HBA Global Teaming Up Again


NEW YORK—Marketing and R&D teams will have access to exclusive strategies, insights and products that will shape their future business and keep them on trend with product launches in the newly enhanced Trends Pavilion at HBA Global, held on June 28 to 30 at the Javits Center in New York, HBA Global Expo & Conference.

Once again, Mintel teamed up with HBA Global to host an Innovations Showcase in Booth: 481. This year’s theme is “Down to Earth" and will feature daily interactive demonstrations of beauty products from around the world.  Attendees will be able to learn about and test innovative cosmetic products from Europe, Latin America, Asia and North America.

“In our Innovations Showcase at HBA, attendees will be able to see first-hand some of the new products with innovative ingredients and technologies that will be impacting the industry in the months ahead," said Hinako Sugioka, senior analyst with Mintel Beauty Innovation.  “We look forward to providing industry insight and global trend analysis of what’s hot and what’s next in this dynamic industry."        

Another key area of the Trends Pavilion is the HBA New Products Showcase in Booth 264.  Attendees will get a first hand view of the latest skin care formulations, active ingredients, primary and secondary packaging materials, private-label offerings, sustainable options and many more innovations from leading international suppliers, including 3C inc., Anisa International, Badger Color, Catalent Pharma Solutions, Cosmetic Solutions, Fusion Packaging, Garrett–Hewitt, Geami, Grafton Cosmetics, Lady Burd, Mineral Mine, O.Berk, Prima Fleur Botanicals,  Qosmedix, Sederma, Tecnocosmesi Spa,  Velocys and Zen-Bio.  

 Visitors to the HBA New Products Showcase will also have a chance to win a “Weekend Getaway in NYC," by getting more information on suppliers’ new products in their booths at HBA Global.

A focal point of the Trends Pavilion will be the Trends Spot Theater with daily makeup demonstrations by celebrity make-up artist, Eve Pearl and her team. Programming in the theater will include “Refocus: Resetting the Color Spotlight for Autumn/Winter 2012/2013," presented by Pantone; “The "’Real’ Top Secrets to Beauty" presented by Lady Emmy; and “Changes in Global Beauty Retailing," presented by Euromonitor International.

The HBA Global Conference offers the session, “Keep Your Eyes Open: Spotting Trends for 2012," with fashion and beauty intelligence from The Doneger Group, color forecasting from Pantone and a trend-spotting tutorial from Trendincite that will help attendees stay ahead of the curve.
