CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio—Americhem Inc., a global provider of custom color and additive solutions for polymeric packaging, will hold final voting on its Project 5th Avenue student packaging design competition at its booth (#1338) at HBA Global Expo.

Americhem invites expo attendees to view finalists’ entries at its booth and to vote for their favorite design. Student participants will be vying for scholarships, including a first place award of $1,000. All voting participants will be invited to an award presentation held Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 4:00 p.m.

The finalists were selected by a panel of industry experts based on criteria, including creativity, innovation, aesthetics, shelf appeal, sustainability and reuse.

Americhem will also be unveiling its 2012 to 2013 beauty color trends at the trade show. Doreen Becker, Americhem’s packaging market development manager, will introduce the colors on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the HBA Trend Spot Theater. The trend forecast is based on couture colors as well as collaboration between Americhem and a major color trend developer in Paris.
