CARPINTERIA, Calif.—NuSil Technology LLC, a global manufacturer of silicone materials for the personal care, health care and pharmaceutical industries, released PCM-7919, a PEG/PPG-18/18 dimethicone compatible with a wide range of cosmetic ingredients.
PCM-7919 is a water-soluble, silicone-glycol copolymer that acts as a wetting agent and emulsifier. PCM-7919 has an approximate 1,500 cP viscosity, requires low-usage levels, and can be considered for use in hair care formulations to add silkiness, shine and lubricity. It can also act as a detangling agent or resin plasticizer in hair-styling products or as a humectant and emollient in skin products.
