MONHEIM, Germany—Cognis Care Chemicals and its active ingredients division Laboratoires Sérobiologiques (LS) will be exhibiting at this year’s In-Cosmetics trade show, April 13 to 15 in Paris.  Cognis Care Chemicals will focus on a range of new personal care ingredients that give manufacturers more choices in creating green products:

  • A fast-spreading emollient with good skin compatibility and a unique sensorial profile. It can be used as an alternative to cyclic silicones in various applications
  • A mild surfactant blend for EO-free and sulfate-free shampoos and shower gels
  • Two types of natural, unaltered shea butters, one of them eligible for organic certifications
  • A new economic wet wipes compound based on a gentle solubilizer system combined with a natural biolipid and moisturizer

A number of new polymers will also be featured at the Cognis booth, including the following products:

  • A PEG/EO-free cationic rheology control additive for hair conditioners and skin care formulations. It offers improved electrolyte tolerance and viscosity behavior, as well as excellent skin and hair sensorics
  • An optimized carbomer type, which offers interesting synergies when used in combination with sodium polyacrylate. It shows superior tolerance to electrolytes and can even be used in low-pH formulations.

LS will exhibit its latest active ingredients for natural beauty:

  • A botanical extract that offers an adaptogenous approach to countering stress and signs of aging
  • A skin-lightening active with a proven safety profile and no color impact on formulations. It also helps protect the skin against UV-induced damages
  • An extract of the leaves of an African tree, which helps restore the functionality of the structural molecules in the dermis, for firmer, more elastic skin

Cognis Care Chemicals and LS will also be launching their new “A beauty adventure around the world” concept, in addition to presenting Cognis’ new “Free your formulation” concept.
