CosmeticsDesign.com recently reported Euromonitor is advising manufacturers of sun care to looks at lower-income countries to boost sales because as the economy recovers and disposable income increases, sun protection product will be more accessible due to affordable price points.
Euromonitor said the sun care market did a nice job recovering the past couple years from its 2009 struggles, in which value growth dropped to 4 percent. Fortunately, 2010 reported a 3-percent increase in global value. The market research company said sun care products are going to continue to struggle in underdeveloped countries if they don’t start seeing sun care products as a necessity, not an accessory.
Boost Awareness
So how do you successfully sale in emerging companies? Campaign, campaign, campaign. Sun campaigns efforts need to continue in order for this shift to occur.
