The cosmetic giant CoverGirl is going natural. According to Stuff.com., CoverGirl is looking to cater to its more affluent customers that are on the hunt for natural ingredients.
The new boutique line, NatureLuxe, will debut with a Silk Foundation and Gloss Balm based off natural ingredients, including jojoba, rosehip extracts, cucumber water, mango butter and Shea butter. and other hydrating butters, instead of heavier-feeling oils and synthetics.
Stuff.com also reported CoverGirl isn’t just going “green" on the inside, but its lightening its carbon footprint on the outside, too, with a move toward more eco-friendly packaging. They are using going to use a small amount of bioresin—a sustainable sugarcane-derived plastic—for the new natural cosmetic line’s packaging.
