Royal DSM NV is taking a step deeper into the natural products world with an expansion into the personal care chemicals, according to Bloomberg.com. DSM, via factory expansions and purchase, is interested in moisturizer ingredients and plans to focus on skin and hair.
“Personal care has a stabile growth and higher margins," said Mark van der Geest, an analyst at ABN Amro, who has a “hold" rating in DSM stock. “You’re up higher in the chain, closer to consumer goods makers like L’Oreal SA, which have higher margins."
