SIMI VALLEY, Calif. –derma e® Natural Bodycare donated to Heal the Bay, a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds safe, healthy and clean, for its fourth year in a row.

Heal the Bay relies on science, education, community action and advocacy to protect and preserve Southern California’s waterways, beaches and coasts.  Heal the Bay’s goal is to ensure people can safely swim, surf and play by providing ocean water quality grades through its Beach Report Card®.  Heal the Bay also educates adults and children about ocean pollution through its Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, and with wide-reaching campaigns such as “A Day Without A Bag," which urges shoppers to forgo single-use plastic bags. Heal the Bay also activates volunteers through community action efforts, including Coastal Cleanup Day, the world’s largest single-day volunteer event, and its monthly Nothin’ But Sand cleanups.

In addition to contributing funds to support safe and clean beaches, derma e® supported Heal the Bay’s 2010 Bring Back the Beach benefit dinner and silent auction by donating a gift basket of their natural, effective skincare products that use scientifically proven antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and botanicals to help reduce the signs of aging, resolve problem skin conditions and nourish the entire body.

“We are extremely pleased that not only are we able to contribute to various human interest, animal welfare and land conservation programs, but through Heal the Bay, we can help improve the biological and environmental conditions of our very own Southern California coastline," said Dr. Linda Miles, L. Ac., D.O.M., Vice President of derma e® Natural Bodycare.
