MUNDELEIN, Ill.—Medline Industries Inc., a privately held manufacturer and distributor of health care supplies, introduced Remedy® with Phytoplex™, a skin care system for sensitive and damaged skin. It was designed and developed to nourish and soothe the skin, act as a structural moisturizer and help protect sensitive skin from free radical damage.
Phytoplex is a proprietary blend of all-natural ingredients from complex botanical and marine sources. The main nutritional ingredient is blue-green algae, a marine-based element from fresh water microalgae. These ingredients penetrate deep within the skin surface to modulate activity that has the potential to affect the skin matrix. In addition, the ingredient blend helps to replenish elements and nutrients at the skin surface that may be diminished by external or internal factors such as radiation therapy or disease.
The blend is formulated without aloe, parabens, sulfates, phthalates or petroleum derivatives. The line currently includes cleaners, moisturizers and petroleum-free lip balm. Later this year, the line will add skin protectant, sunscreen and oral care products.
