Stores flooded as early as midnight on Black Friday and kept retailers busy all the way through Sunday. The Black Friday weekend tallied up to $41.2 billion, an average of $343 per person, roughly 8.5 percent less than a year ago. But the personal care and beauty sector grew from 19 percent in 2008 to 22.4 percent in 2009, as consumers reported purchasing more leisurely items than last year.
