NORTHVALE, NJ—TRI-K Industries, through its parent company Galaxy Surfactants, has launched a full range of organic sunscreens in the U.S. market. The line includes five widely used organic sunscreens offering broad range UVA and UVB protection—GalSORB Benzophenone-3, GalSORB Benzophenone-4, GalSORB Avobenzone, GalSORB OMC and GalSORB Octocrylene.
The company said these products are an important expansion of a key segment of the TRI-K product offering, complementing the company’s existing range of UV-TITAN titanium dioxide powders and other ancillary sun care actives for a complete portfolio of UV protection.
In launching this new line, TRI-K reminded organic sunscreens are an important tool for eliminating the risks of sun exposure, and when used together or in combination with titanium dioxide, organic sunscreens offer safe and effective, high SPF, broad spectrum UV protection for sun care and daily wear applications. The company noted UV radiation is responsible for various negative effects on the skin and hair. Sunburn, premature aging, wrinkles and increased risk of skin cancer are all attributable to UV exposure, along with brittleness of hair and color fading.
