SHENZHEN, China—The Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) 2011 show opened on Feb. 22, drawing almost 3,000 visitors on its first day. The show organizer, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, expects 5,600 attendees to participate in the three-day event. A total of 243 exhibitors from 20 countries were in attendance, including 70 new exhibitors, with three country pavilions from France, Germany and Singapore.
PCHi expanded its conference themes, exploring “The Macho Side of Personal Care" and “Earth-Friendly Formulations" in the Technology conference track. A new exclusive hospitality zone, Casa Elegancia, hosted five leading international companies, allowing them to meet new and existing suppliers.
RSE also announced the winners of the China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards. The winners included:

Ltd. for Most Inviting Shell Scheme Booth; and Zhejiang Hangzhou Xinfu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd for Most Innovative Chinese Newcomer.
PCHi will return to Shanghai in 2012. The event will be held at the World Expo Theme Pavilion from Feb. 27 to 29, 2012. In addition, the show will have a new layout, grouping exhibitors into four categories: Natural Extracts, Color Cosmetic Ingredients, Cosmeceutical Ingredients and Flavors and Fragrances.
