FDA Sued Over Nanotechnology Regulation

MOORHEAD, Minn.—The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, among 12 other groups, filed a lawsuit against FDA over regulation of nanotechnology, according to MPR News. The suit claims FDA has failed to properly regulate the use of nanomaterials in personal care products such as sunscreen and other cosmetics.

Steve Suppan, analyst for the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy said its FDA's responsibility to ensure consumer safety by ensuring the safety of nanomaterials.
