Artiste Announces Health and Wellness Advisory Board

WALDWICK, N.J.—Artiste, a global fragrance specialty ingredient company, announced its Health and Wellness Advisory Board. Members include: Shannon Rountry Maver of Reading, Mass; Armin Prahst of Vancouver, B.C.; and George J. Perchak, Pharm.D. of West Milford, N.J. The members were individually selected by Joe Raimondo, Artiste president and principal owner, based on their extensive experience in the industry. 

“While expanding our services to include a category as vital as health and wellness, we felt it was essential to assemble a prominent group of experts to use as a collective resource," he explained. "We are impressed with the outstanding credentials of each member of the Artiste Health and Wellness Advisory Board, and are fortunate to have them as Members." 

Armin Prahst has more than 20 years of practical and academic experience in food technology with a focus on fruits and related products. He is the president of Spagomed Laboratories, where he manages all aspects of the company including the development of herbal extraction procedures and packaging parameters.  Armin received his Bachelor of Science in food science, with an emphasis in beverage technology/microbiology and business administration, along with a master’s degree in food science.

Shannon Rountry Maver has more than 17 years of experience as a senior executive in the industry, managing the formulation, sales, marketing, advertising and distribution of nutraceutical, and cosmeceutical ingredients and products. Shannon has worked with many companies in the nutraceutical, cosmetic, and food and beverage industries, and was closely involved with the formulation and launch of one of the industry’s first nutraceutical beverages. She has a Bachelor of English and a certificate in clinical nutrition (C.C.N).

George J. Perchak, Ph.D., is an experienced clinician, consultant and academician, teaching at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. As a professional pharmacist and clinical scientist, he is an advisor to physicians and other health care providers, patients and regulatory agencies. His many scholastic accomplishments include bachelor degrees in pharmacy and English; master degrees in pharmacotherapeutics and in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing administration; and, a Doctor of Pharmacy.
