Botaneco Corp. ~ Vegelatum® Gels

CALGARY, Alberta—Botaneco Corp. created a natural petrolatum replacement for various personal care applications—Vegelatum® Gels. The line includes different non-GMO plant oils gelled in a silica and starch matrix in a proprietary, chemical-free process. They are water-repellent with a less greasy and tack feel than petrolatum. Vegelatum ingredients are suited for building viscosity in anhydrous formulations such as lip balms, lip sticks, sugar scrubs and diaper creams. Vegelatum has a higher melting temperature than petrolatum by 23 percent.
