EL SEGUNDO, Calif.—Murad's University for Inclusive Health (UIH) is partnering with Bellus Academy in San Diego to inspire and teach current and future professionals in the esthetic, medical and wellness areas how to further their promise of advancing health and wellbeing.
The Bellus Academy will begin offering the UIH course program in October 2011 to current students and alumni interested in advancing their education. The course outline and content, developed by Howard Murad, M.D., FAAD, and founder of UIH and Murad Inc., covers the evolution of his research in The Science of Cellular Water™, which identifies the common denominator of aging and illness as cellular water loss. The UIH course will provide Bellus students and graduates interested in furthering their education with guidance on external, internal and emotional self-care theories based on Murad's philosophy of Inclusive Health.
Upon successful completion of the UIH course at Bellus, graduates will receive a certificate identifying themselves as an Inclusive Health Ambassador, an elite global movement that is evolving the world of beauty and esthetics to create a new breed of caregiver. The graduates will be able to continue Murad's work conducted at the El Segundo Inclusive Health campus, which has allowed thousands of patients transform into more energized and youthful in looks and attitude through small, simple steps.
"With the ever changing landscape of health care and the overwhelming desire of people to improve their quality of lives, the University for Inclusive Health felt that it was important to work hand in hand with state board schools like Bellus to expand the post-graduation educational opportunities," said Tracey Sameyah, president, Murad Inclusive Health. "Murad's vision and history of marrying science with skin care will continue to prove how important it is to look beyond a single issue and treat the person as a whole; resulting in happier, healthier clients and customers."
Lynelle Lynch, president of Bellus Academy, added: “The Inclusive Health program at the Bellus Academy provides the latest in educational innovations for the wellness field. The Inclusive Health program elevates the services spa professionals can offer their clients, significantly improving overall wellness for all and continuing to build on Bellus' tradition of excellence."
UIH is currently providing courses through the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, and will expand its offerings with Bellus Academys nationwide in the near future. Murad is committed to continuing to grow its partnership with trade schools and state licensing programs to provide extended and continuing education to aspiring and current beauty, health and wellness service providers.
