WALDWICK, N.J.—Artise launched its line of mint essential oils for use in oral care products, chewing gums aromatherapy applications and more. The company uses the “whole oil approach" by using mint's original and natural characters and then it's crafted for each customer without any alteration. Extracted from the leaf, mint oil is used in a wide variety of popular formulations. According to the Mint Industry Research Council, 45-percent of mint oil produced in the United States is used for flavoring chewing gum, 45-percent is used to flavor dentifrices (toothpaste, mouthwash, etc.) and the remaining 10-percent is used for confectionery, pharmaceutical, liqueur and aromatherapy industries.
