Its active core is a patent-protected combination of the botanical extract Narcissus tazetta bulbs with naturally sourced phytoene and phytofluene. IBR conducted a clinical trial on 26 mild to moderate chronic eczema patients for 28 days. The study compared the effect of IBR-ProPhyDerm to hydrocortisone 1-percent cream. Clinical assessment points were every seven days and showed promising results: total scoring and efficacy index of both treatments were identical, meaning IBR-ProPhyDerm, a steroids-free composition, delivers activity equivalent to 1-percent hydrocortisone. Total scoring and efficacy index of both treatments after four weeks of use represented a 70-percent improvement in the appearance of skin redness, scaling and flaking.
