PRIORI® 100% Natural CoffeeBerry® Perfecting Minerals demonstrated significant improvements in subjects with moderate to severe photodamage and/or rosacea after seven weeks of use, according to an unpublished study conducted by David H. McDaniel, M.D. FAAD, at the The Institute of Anti-Aging Research. Ten women with moderate to severe photodamage, nine women with moderate to severe rosacea and two women with both conditions between the ages of 25 and 55 were selected to participate in the study. Panelists were instructed to apply PRIORI CoffeeBerry Perfecting Minerals regimen of Perfecting Foundation SPF 25, Perfecting Concealer SPF 25 and Finishing Touch at least once a day for a period of seven weeks. Dermatological evaluations for brown pigmentation (hyperpigmentation), red pigmentation (rosacea), fine lines/wrinkles, global improvement and dryness were made at baseline and seven weeks use. Standard digital and RBX Red/Brown photography were taken using the Canfield’s Visia System at baseline and after seven weeks. Additionally, all subjects were given a questionnaire and asked to agree or disagree with product benefits at the end of the study.
After seven weeks of product use, dermatological evaluations revealed a 20-percent decrease in brown pigmentation (hyperpigmentation), a 23-percent decrease in red pigmentation (rosacea), a 30-percent decrease in fine lines/wrinkles, a 31-percent increase in the overall improvement in the appearance of photodamage and/or rosacea and a 39-percent decrease in dryness of their skin. Subjective evaluations, based on questionnaire responses, indicated strong agreement in all product benefit statements rated. Additionally, no adverse reactions or acne flair ups were noted during the course of testing.
