ESSEX, England and Kaiseraugst, Switzerland—Eden Research plc, a U.K. agrochemical development company, entered into a data sharing arrangement with DSM Nutraceuticals Ltd. Under this agreement, Eden provided DSM with rights to certain data acquired as part of its EU dossier to support the pesticidal registration of Thymol, one of the  active  substances currently in the EU approval process for Annex I inclusion and a component of 3-AEY, Eden's  botrytis product. The agreement allows DSM to use the data to support the registration of its nutraceutical products and is for a consideration of £34,000.

Clive Newitt, managing director of Eden Research, said: "Whilst this agreement covers markets which are clearly not core activities of Eden, it demonstrates how we are maximizing the value of all of the intellectual property the company has developed. This marks further progress with this project and we are continuing actively to seek out further opportunities to maximize the return on the core data packages we have invested in."
