Lipo Chemicals introduced Lipo® VI 40/60, a ground and sized material from the seeds of the Ecuadorian Ivory Palm Phytelephas aequatorialis, commonly referred to as vegetable ivory or tagua. It is traditionally used for carvings and buttons but works as an exfoliating ingredient. It is an ivory color, with particles ranging from 200 to 500 microns in size. Lipo VI 40/60 is recommended for body care products as a moderately abrasive exfoliant.
