MILPITAS, Calif.—In honor of Healthy Skin Month, Symmetry Corp. is encouraging people to be proactive with their approach to skincare.  For optimal skin health, Symmetry recommends following the tips below on a regular basis:

  • Make it a Habit—All day long dirt and debris cumulate on your skin.  So, morning and night, be sure to wash your face and apply a moisturizer suited for your skin type. Women should make it a point to remove all makeup before going to bed.
  • Hydrate from Within—Plain and simple, Mother Nature's wellness drink for glowing skin is water, which hydrates and plumps skin's appearance from within.  Be sure to drink purified water throughout the day and avoid caffeinated beverages, such as coffee and soda, which can actually rob your body of moisture.
  • Get your Vitamins—You are what you eat, so one of the best ways to get radiant skin is by eating a well-balanced diet that features a spectrum of vitamins and nutrients. In particular, vitamin A has been shown to improve skin health. It is found in sweet potatoes, carrots or spinach in the form of betacarotene, or can be delivered via a quality supplement.  D
  • De-stress—Both physical and mental stress can wreak havoc on your skin, causing conditions such as oily glands and pallor. Combat stress with daily exercise and deep breathing techniques. Also, be careful to not let stress keep you from your daily skincare routine.

"There are many components to a healthy skin care routine and each is equally important," said Rudy Revak, president and CEO for Symmetry Corp.  "I think people will find that when they take a multi-pronged approach to preserving their skin's wellness that the results will be both noticeable and long lasting."
