MIDLAND Mich.—Dow Corning introduced a formulations for color cosmetics, skin care, sun protection and hair care products—Dow Corning® FZ-3196, a volatile alkyl methyl siloxane fluid. It enhances the aesthetics of vegetable oils and delivers many benefits to formulations, including: smooth feel, feels less dry than more volatile materials, compatibility with both silicones and organic materials, co-solubilizer between silicone and organic oils; improves spreadability and reduces the tackiness and greasy feel of vegetable oils; clear, colorless, low viscosity fluid; and easy to handle.
