BRUSSELS, Begium—Natural and Organic Cosmetic Association (NaTrue) of Brussels and Quality Assurance International (QAI) of the United States have joined to create a certification for products that comply with both of their organic personal care product requirements. The new certification “Made with Organic Personal Care Products” meets both the NaTure-Label and the US NSF/ANSI 305. both criteria are not identical, but share the same objective: to provide reliable, transparent guidance for authentic, “made with organic ingredients” for personal care products. The mutual recognition certification is designed to save costs and time for manufacturers, provide a consumer orientation between “like” standards, offer additional transparency. ISO 65-accredited certification organizations will be responsible for certifying the products.
