Japanese Patent Recognizes RegeneRx’s Technology

BETHESDA, Md.—RegeneRx Biopharmaceuticals Inc. received a notice of patent allowance from the Japanese Patent Office for “Inhibition or Reversal of Skin Aging by Actin-Sequestering Peptides.” The patent covers the use of thymosin beta-4, a synthetic copy of a 43-amino acid, naturally occurring peptide, for improving skin conditions such as elasticity and skin tone.
