MONHEIM, Germany—Cognis Care Chemicals, and its active ingredients business Laboratoires Sérobiologiques (LS), will be exhibiting at In-Cosmetics Asia 2008, set for Nov. 4 to 6 in Bangkok, Thailand, promoting the Green Chemical Solutions Concept and a range of natural personal care ingredients. Cognis will present the second phase of its Green Chemical Solutions classification system. This time, the focus is on formulations, their level of “greenness”, and demonstrating the relationship between the naturalness of the end product and its performance through the Green Formulation Grid.
Among the new “green” natural-sourced ingredients being launched at the show:
- A “green” pearlizing wax dispersion for natural hair and body cleansing formulations that serve the new “green” trend towards natural beauty.
- A highly concentrated vegetable-based microemulsion which is ideal for cold processable, effective skin cleansing and care applications particularly for wet wipes concepts.
- An Ecocert-certified organic Chuf Sadge for skin and hair care applications.
- An Ecocert-certified high purity argan oil for skin, hair, and nail care applications.
The company will also highlight several other high-performance ingredients including a transparent microemulsion for shampoos; a hair brightness agent; a pure synthetic tetrapeptide that may increase skin tolerance to environmental factors; a tailor-made skin whitening active; skin sensory modifiers; and a liquid acrylic emulsion polymer with special rheological behavior.
