Blistex Launches Anti-Aging Lip Balm

OAK BROOK, Ill.—Blistex is heading into the anti-aging category with the release of Deep Renewal, a lip balm designed to reduce deep and fine lines on the lips. The company combined hyaluronic spheres, designed to deliver hyaluronic acid (HA) to nourish skin via moisturizing spheres; coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) for overall revitalization; and light refractors to defuse light, improving the appearance of luster. Additionally, the balm includes SPF 15 and an antioxidant complex to fight free radical damage. Blistex supported an independent clinical trial, in which Deep Renewal was shown to increase the appearance of lip hydration and luster within two hours, and to reduce the number and depth of lines and wrinkles over the course of four weeks.
