KINGSPORT, Tenn.—Eastman Chemical Co. announced its NuTriene™ Tocotrienols, a blend of tocotrienols and tocopherols extracted from rice bran oil, received a “superior” audit score from the American Institute of Bakers (AIB). AIB’s third-party audit evaluated the safety and quality of the NuTriene production practices and facilities, including operations, company policies and physical condition of buildings and production areas.

“We are very proud to receive this prestigious rating from the AIB, an internationally recognized resource in the food safety industry,” said Tammy Nave, formulation products business manager, Eastman. “This rating demonstrates our strong, long-standing commitment to the quality and safety of Eastman’s products.”

NuTriene’s naturally occurring blend of four tocotrienol and four tocopherol isomers makes it useful for the functional food, dietary supplement and cosmeceutical markets.
