Bare Escentuals’ President Resigns

SAN FRANCISCO —The resignation of Diane Miles, president of Bare Escentuals Inc., caused the company’s shares to fall 14 percent, hitting a year-low of $19.83. Net sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2007 were $126.6 million, an increase of 29.3 percent from $97.9 million recorded in the same period last year.

According to the company, Miles resigned to pursue other opportunities. “Diane played a significant role over the past year and a half, which contributed to our sales and staff growth,” said Leslie Blodgett, CEO. The company is currently seeking a senior vice president of wholesale sales to assume Miles’ responsibilities
