Ovaliss Erases Double Chins

LE PERRAY-EN-YVELINES, France —Serdema released results of a study supporting the launch of its new ingredient Ovaliss™. The product was formulated to counteract the appearance of double chins, which are caused by aging and excess fat stored under the jaw as a result of weight gain and obesity. According to the company (www.sederma.fr), the natural ingredient reduces the thickness of fatty tissue in the chin and visibly reconstructs the skin’s support tissue by adipose tissue reversion. In a company-sponsored clinical study, 25 female volunteers applied an emulsion containing 2.5 percent Ovaliss twice daily on the chin for 56 days. Results showed a significant decrease in the fold of fat; 64 percent of the volunteers experienced up to a 10.4 percent reduction in double chin volume. Additionally, the thickness of fatty tissue decreased for 88 percent of the volunteers with an average reduction of 7.7 percent.
