U.S. Pavilion Set for Cosmoprof Shanghai

SHANGHAI, China--Cosmoprof Shanghai Exhibitions Ltd. was granted Trade Fair Certification from the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) to organize a U.S. Pavilion at the Cosmoprof Shanghai cosmetics show, set to be held Jan. 15 to 18, 2008. This event, a regional extension of Cosmoprof Asia, offers a business-to-business environment, allowing manufacturers to meet with key Chinese importers, distributors and buyers.

Cosmoprof Shanghai 2007 show featured 341 exhibitors; more than 13,000 high-profile visitors attended. With the support of DOC, the 2008 show will showcase the Chinese cosmetic market to U.S. industry exporters, by providing a venue to establish or expand overseas distribution, generate sales leads, identify licensing and joint venture partners, find new customers and assess the needs of the Chinese and Pacific Rim market.

The DOC’s Trade Fair Certification (TFC) Program is a cooperative arrangement between private sector show organizers and the U.S. government. The TFC Program broadens the base of U.S. exporters, such as new-to-export and new-to-market companies, by introducing them to key trade events.
