16th Annual HBA Show Delivers the Goods

NEW YORK—The 16th annual HBA Global Expo held Sept. 9 to 11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center brought in 16,207 participants, including 4,700 new registrants from all over the world. Additional highlights and statistics from the show:

  • More than 30 percent of HBA’s participants plan to spend $500,000 or more on product or services over the next 12 months;
  • A 100 percent increase in conference delegates from Europe;
  • Buying teams from major plays such as L’Oreal, Unilever, Proctoer & Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, Shiseido, Avon, Estee Lauder, Coty, Johnson & Johnson, Sephora, Boots, Wal-Mart and Target were in attendance;
  • HBA also attracted independent and emerging brand innovators such as Bare Escentuals, Benefit Cosmetics, Blossom, Cargo Cosmetics, NuSkin and Tarte.

The next event for HBA is “The X-Ceuticals Synergy: From Formulation to Novel Packaging Solutions” scheduled for March 2 to 3, 2009 at the New York Hilton Hotel. The 17th annual HBA Global Expo & Conference will take place Sept. 15-17 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
