Getting Wild in Formulation

I have to share this! Late last week I was working on a formulation for one of my clients’ new skin care products. I wanted something new, not the same old avocado or shea butter base … I stumbled across something called WildSeed®. It was created based on 40,000 years of use by Australian Aborigines, so I knew it was something special.
Created by Southern Cross Botanicals, WildSeed includes macadamia oil with oils from seeds I’ve never heard of until now—Bunya and Wattle. It turns out these seeds are considered sacred and for skin care purposes provide abundant amino acids, vitamins and minerals, and are loaded with phytosterols and antioxidants. The formula has a long shelf life too—two years! The complex is moisturizing, protective and regenerative, all the things this client was looking for. Plus, the best part is that it is extracted in a sustainable manner that protects the environment. We love it and can’t wait to formulate with it!
