Botaneco Appoints Aki Georgacacos, President, CEO

Botaneco Corp. appointed Aki Georgacacos as president and CEO, replacing Mike Stangel. Georgacacos is a member of the Botaneco’s Board of Directors and a partner in Avrio Ventures, Canada’s largest agriculture and agritech focused venture capital fund.

Georgacacos will act as president and CEO on an interim basis while the Corporation evaluates alternatives to fill the role on a permanent basis.

“Having been involved with the business since 2006, Aki will move seamlessly into the president and CEO role," commented Dave Guebert, the lead independent director of Botaneco.

Guebert added, “We’d like to thank Mike for the energy, and leadership he has provided for the Company. He has been integral in stabilizing operations and creating a diversified consumer health products platform poised for continued growth."
