Black Light Makeup, Blackout Concealer

From black-lit makeup to “blackout" concealer, the cosmetics industry is “hiding" more than you know.

Purple Haze

Summer and Halloween cosmetic trends are trickling into fall, as companies such as Make Up Forever are taking fashion’s neon coloring, MAC’s neon lipsticks and other companies’ neon nail polishes, and creating glow-in-the-dark pigments—Flu Night Black Light Pigment—for use in foundations, mascaras, lip glosses and more, according to TimesLive.co.za. Going to a rave this weekend? Or feel like standing out in Manhattan’s black-dressed crowd? I think this stuff will do the trick.

Cover Up

And after a late night of dancing under black lights, you’re going to need a darn good concealer to cover up those dark circles before brunch. Well it looks like DermaBlend Professional is your new brunch date. Rick Genest, model for Mugler, covered up for this fashion campaign with DermaBlend’s new cover-all concealer. It not only covers up dark circles, but it can conceal birthmarks, hyperpigmentation, acne, rosacea and even tattoos. Check out this YouTube video. It’s like something out of X-Men. And believe me, you’ll never have to worry about “stumbling into some bad lighting" again.
