Do you remember the Nip/Tuck episode when Julia owned a spa that sold a skin care product with semen in it? At the time, it seemed outrageous; but now, it’s not so taboo. Apparently, companies are formulating products with all sorts of odd, off-the-wall ingredients. The Chicago Tribune reported companies using ingredients such as snake venom, bird droppings and whale vomit. And, as controversy would have it, there is some debate on whether these wild ingredients are really necessary to achieve the results they’re touting; but nonetheless, personal care formulators are creating anti-aging, hair care and skin care products with some extreme add-ins and their client list is flaunting some big names in Hollywood.
