Being new to the cosmeceuticals world has created some challenges/hurdles for me; but it’s also opened up a whole new world of knowledge and information. Growing up I was more of a tomboy. I didn’t start wearing makeup or using any kind of skincare regiment (besides my bar of Dove soap) until I was 20 years old. Of course, my girlfriends would do my makeup and hair when we would go out dancing or to a party, but I never actually bought my own makeup, skincare products or hair care products until I was in my 20s. Now, I spend way too much money on “quality” brands and recently have invested a lot of money on some very expensive hair care products. But these concepts of “cosmeceuticals” and “beauty from within” have really started to change my view on how I care for myself. I’ve started investing in products that include vitamin C for under eye care and paraben-free SPFs. The more I read and research the more I want to know, and the more informed I am becoming—and I love it. This blog is an extension of my desire for knowledge and I hope it offers you valuable insight into the cosmeceuticals world and reveals innovative ingredients and products that deliver promised results.
