Innovation Leads the Pack: New Personal Care Launches

Datamonitor, a leading provider of online data, analytic and forecasting platforms for key vertical sectors, let the cat out of the bag on new innovative personal care products that were recently launched. According to the release, several of these new products were inspired by trends occurring in the food and beverage and dietary supplement categories. Here are a few that Datamonitor pulled from its Productscan database:

  • The Ellen Probiotic Tampon, from Ellen AB. A novel type of sanitary product for the German and Swiss markets that contains Lacto Naturel, a mixture of probiotics that is said to strengthen women’s defense against vaginal infections.
  • Multi-Functional Aroma Spray, Intelligent Nutrients. The first multi-functional certified organic aromatics made entirely from food-grade organic essential oils and flavors. Taking heed from “mood foods” that are said to enhance a person’s mood food, the company designed an aroma spray that is designed to alter and create different moods, such as Awaken, Seductive and Attune.

 

 

 

 

  • Rolling Razor. With its novel appearance and dual head, users put their finger through a ring-like handle and utilize the two heads, designed to quicken shaving by allowing better multi-directional use.
  • TurboLash All Effect Motion Mascara, Estee Lauder. Mascara comes in a tube that vibrates at 125 micro-pulses per second and is inspired by vibrating razors. The vibrations are said to aid in application, coating each lash with mascara.
  • Tahitian Holiday, Avon. A 3-in-1 bronzer with a built in lip and cheek tint.
  • Blemish RX Blemish Healing Concealer, Physicians Formula. Syringe-style packaging and botanical-based ingredients, this product is designed to reduce and hide blemishes without irritating the skin.
