EDISON, NJ— Croda Inc. (CrodaUSA.com) launched TrimollientBC, a patented citrate ester ultraviolet A (UVA) booster for organic sunscreen actives. TrimollientBC is easily incorporated into the oil phase of emulsion systems and can be easily combined without difficulty into hydroalcoholic sunscreen spray systems; it is completely soluble in ethanol.  This citrate ester adds excellent skin emolliency to formulations and gives formulators an edge over other competing brands by allowing for maximum UVA protection labeling.
