Silica for Healthy Hair

HAMBURG, Germany—A study published in Kosmetische Medizin (2007;KM-6) found Hubner Original Silica Gel, marketed by Bioforce USA, could increase hair thickness. The clinical phase II pilot study included 55 adult women with thin hair who received 15 ml/d of oral silicium gel. Over the six-month intervention, hair volume increased from 58,96 ± 8,23 to 66,42 ± 9,67 mm. The women also reported positively on the effects of thickness, shine and health of the hair.
