In an article on SpecialChem4Cosmetics, beauty expert Nancy Jeffries looked at some of the newest cosmeceutical offerings in the bath and body market. For example, Origins™ The Way of the Bath™ Collection product concept taps into the Japanese tea ceremony and incorporates ingredients such as Matcha green tea and Japanese sea salts; the company also launched the Night Health™ line—products such as bath oil and lotion using essential oils of lavender, chamomile and mandarin. Asia also inspired a range of products from Aspara Aromatics, including the Kopi Scrub, made from Indonesian Sumatra coffee—detoxifying and revitalizing, and a bar soap infused with Mandarin orange oil and silk oil to cleanse and smooth the skin.
Other offerings highlighted include the sulfate-free moisturizers and soaps from LaLicious; Borba’s Firming Body Cleansing Serum, an anti-aging serum of plant extracts and hyaluronic acid in a body cleanser; a time-release body exfoliator and moisturizer from Clinique; and MD Skincare’s Detox Duo, a combination of Purifying Bath Crystals to remove toxins and chelate the water, and the Antioxidant Enzyme Buff with Dead Sea salts, fruit enzymes and CoQ10 to exfoliate and support skin health.
