RAMAT-GAN, Israel—IBR Ltd. developed IBR-Snowflake®, an aqueous extract from Leucojum aestivum (summer snowflake) bulb, available in a preservative-free form or with non-paraben preservatives. According to the company, IBR-Snowflake has been tested for its ability to inhibit muscle contraction, making it a potential alternative to Botox™. In addition, IBR-Snowflake increases expression of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and exerts an effect on melanin and melanocytes, serving as a skin whitener.
