ESSEN, Germany--Evonik Goldschmidt GMBh extended its chemistry and biotechnology platforms to include plant extracts and other natural compounds, such as creatine (Tego® Cosmo C100), skin-identical ceramides (Sk-influx, Skinmimics®) and hyaluronic acid (HyaCare®). The companies latest platform offers high quality standardize plant extracts for both skin and hair.
At the SCS Formulate exhibition held in the United Kingdom in late November, the company introduced four new plant extracts: Tego Galanga, obtained from the roots of Kaempferia galangal;Tego Policosanol, a mixture of higher aliphatic alcohols extracted from sugar cane wax; Tego Arjuna, a standardized extract from the heartwood of the Terminalia Arjuna tree; and Tego Turmerone, a distilled fraction of turmeric oil from the rood of Curuma longa by a supercritical carbon dioxide process.
